Jen Hinsberger

Jen is a Tucson Native and returned to Arizona after living and teaching group fitness in Texas, New Mexico, and Kansas.  She learned to Ski on Mount Lemmon.  She has swum the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcratraz and learned it was very cold.  She has not repeated that adventure yet but will if one of her kids wants to do it with her.   She lives in a house divided with UofA and ASU members and hopes that will be a 50/50 division someday.

Julie Poplawski

Julie graduated from USC, where she was on the surf team and in a sorority.  Although she studied history and business, she always taught fitness classes. She started teaching at the Village when she moved to AZ over 25 years ago.  She still enjoys surfing and snowboarding when she is on vacation.  Julie is married and has 3 sons.

Linda Hertzberg

Linda moved to Arizona at age 12, taught herself to swim and was always in the pool when not out riding her bike through Papago Park. She played baseball, ran track, played volleyball, soccer and was a cheerleader in high school and college. She joined the Village and started playing tennis and eventually won the singles, doubles and mixed doubles club championships. Dance training in studios since age 35 was the start of a lifelong passion for musical movement. Boogie boarding with friends in Costa Rica, Mexico and California is one of her favorite vacations.

Lori Krimbill

Lori grew up in Buffalo, NY and has lived in MA, MI and KY.  She, her husband and both sons are former and current collegiate tennis players.   She loves dancing, hiking, traveling, baking and animals.  She recently completed her Pilates Mat and Reformer certification from Pilates Sports Center (PSC).

Julie Corona

Julie joined her first gym at 16 years old. Growing up, Julie played soccer, competed in college triathlons, and raced many 1/2 marathons and one full marathon. She loves running, playing tennis, teaching group fitness, Pilates and being with her family. In 1995, Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly, SLO. Soon after, she married her high school sweetheart. They have three beautiful children together.

Cynthia Khan

Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Cynthia moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1994. In 2004 she earned a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University. While in college, Cynthia discovered a passion for Pilates. She completed her Pilates teacher training in 2005 and her yoga teacher training in 2007. Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, hiking, practicing Pilates and yoga, and playing with her 2 pugs.

Teri Friedland

Teri was born and raised in New Jersey. After a long and cold winter back east, she decided to move to sunny Arizona. She graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire.  In addition to working as an Occupational Therapist for over 25 years, Teri’s the founder of Pink Ribbon 360, a holistic exercise program for breast cancer survivors. She always loved fitness which drew her to become a Barre instructor at The Dailey Method and a certified Pilates teacher through the Polestar and PSC programs. In addition to Pilates, Teri likes to hike, bike, travel with her husband & two children, and go for walks with her cute, but stubborn Beagle.

Tammy Rizzi

Tammy comes to the Village with an extensive background in competitive athletics and dance, as well as a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Since 2004, she has been instructing various types of fitness classes. She has competed in 8 Ironman triathlons and run over 30 marathons. Her dedication to movement is the underlying force for her teaching and her passion for intelligent movement drew her to Pilates. She attained a Polestar Pilates Rehab and Studio certification while working toward her doctorate at the University of Utah. She trained with the founder, Brent Anderson, in Miami for two months while incorporating Pilates into the rehab setting. She has applied Pilates in multiple forms and continues to adapt the exercise to meet the client’s needs through her in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and movement. Tammy loves that Pilates is great for everyone at any level and sees it as the perfect blend of strengthening and lengthening through the mind-body connection. Her goal is for every client to leave each session feeling better than when they came.
